On contentment.
Why wait or hope for something that doesn't have any certainty?
Why, why, why......
Thinking all about these gives me a headache.
Quote for the day: "Too much of a good thing is bad...."
On David Cook and American Idol 7.
But then it changed when D, a friend of mine, introduced me to David Cook. I liked his version of some of the songs he sang in AI, but then he sang U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" which made me love him!
So officially, I am now a fan of David Cook and I was more than pleased when I found out that he won! Happy.Happy.Joy.Joy.
So this post isn't necessarily about my adventure, I just wanted to share that I'm happy he won =)
Till next time!
Blogger and Multiply.
So I enabled my blog posts from my blogspot into my Multiply site.

As much as possible, do try to visit the blogspot page [link above] instead of my multiply blog. Thanks! =)
Lifehouse in Manila.
If your planner is still not full, you can add Lifehouse at the Araneta Coliseum on July 26th, Saturday.
Although it's still not up at Ticketnet's site, it is already posted in Lifehouse's official website
Here's a screenshot for your reference:
Will update more if I get tickets already or if there is new information out.
Another event to watch out for this July is Daughtry!
Ooooh.. The bank account will certainly complain now!
Zero Fares for Cebu Pac.
I'm very tempted to go to Vietnam. Hmm..... Gotta check the trusty old bank account if I've got funds
Just checked, I've got none =)
But nevertheless. Will that stop me? I sure hope not!
Will post again if I've *gulp* booked a flight already!
Daughtry live in Manila.
Yay.
It's going to be on July 29th, Tuesday, at the Eastwood Central Plaza.
For those of you who are coming [from GT or wherever], let me know so we could meet up =)
We're going to be seated at the VIP Centre area, row F.
just because i had to update... =)
Vanessa Carlton at the Ayala Malls on May 9-11. Er... dunno if I'll watch since I might have weekend plans to go out of Manila. If that weekend plan won't push through then I'm definitely going to Vanessa Carlton. It's FREE of charge [if you have the Ayala card, of course]. How cool is that?
James Blunt on May 19 -- dunno if I'll watch. It depends on my budget.
The Click Five on May 30th -- SOOOOO STOKED for this. I postponed my London trip for a week just to watch this concert :P Secured my tickets last March [excited??]
Daughtry -- sometime in July. Gosh. I hope I get tickets.
Paramore -- rumoured rumoured.
Alicia Keys on Aug 5 -- dunno if I'll watch :)
Panic at the Disco on Aug 14 -- i will deffo watch, just need to secure tickets by Tuesday, May 6th, perhaps.
Oh My. I can't wait for them. They'll be new concert adventures [if i find the money to pay for them].
On another note, I am going off to another adventure. I am going to England on June and won't be returning till July. How cool is that? I hope to post some experiences/photos when I've got them around :P
My life has been quite boring lately. I haven't found myself some new adventures.
Oh wait. Last weekend [April 26th], I went to Fort Santiago, Intramuros, and just walked around the ancient wall. Downside? I left my camera! Shit.
I also went to SM Mall of Asia [MOA for those of you who don't know it] and watched U2 3D. Awesome, awesome show. For those of you who still hasn't watched this, go and do so to experience [an almost] U2 concert experience. Quite a hefty price to pay P500 for MOA, but well worth it.
Did you know that there were also fireworks at 7pm around the Bay area behind MOA at the time? I watched it too, 'twas awesome.
And did I mention that I forgot my camera when all this was happening? Another shit moment.
April 27th -- Gossip Girl marathon. Did I mention that this tv show is also awesome??? Definitely something worth watching.
Recent addictions for the month: cosmetics. Just bought myself some goodies from MAC's Fafi collection since I love all things cute. Can you blame me if I bought them for the packaging? Oh, may I add that I love the quality of their products as well. If i'm not too lazy to post then I might as well post FOTDs and product reviews and make this blog alive. =)
I am also trying to sell some mineral makeup. So buy if you can! haha.
Gotta run, will post more updates soon =)
Recent update of artists in MNL -- Maroon 5 and Ne-Yo. On thoughts about Click.
Will post photos and my account of what happened as soon as I can.
I'm suffering a heartbreak right now. I found out that one of my fave bands [Click 5]
will be dropping by MNL this May, but I'm gonna be out of the country at the time.
Sad.
But oh well.
As they say, "When a door closes, a window opens."
Wonder what that window will be?
I'm just thankful that I got a chance to meet Maroon 5 and Ne-Yo.
Hopefully Incubus, Colbie Caillat and Mandy Moore too.
Then maybe some more in April-June while I'm out of the country.
Yeah.
Maybe that's the window.
Problem is, the door slammed shut right in my face, and yet, I can't still seem to find the window.
*sigh*
11.45pm MNL time.
Here goes...
Was surfing the ticketnet website (my day isn't complete without checking if there are new tickets available for upcoming concerts here in MNL) and I came upon the Vertical Horizon concert.
Immediately IMed my concert buddy, and he was game to watch =)
Called the ticket hotline and reserved 2 tickets for upper A (this isn't the front block), but we were front row -- albeit not in the center area.
A colleague of mine happened to drop by my computer and saw that I was arranging for the tickets. She called up another colleague and convinced 2 of their friends to go with them in the concert. Funnily enough, my teammate also learned that I was going to the concert and also wanted to watch.
So, the next day, we got tickets -- row A seats 1-6 of upper Box A area 302.
Only prob was my teammate had a different seat reservation -- i believe area 301, seat 7-8 row D.
The day after that, he was able to exchange his tickets for the ones beside us. So now we occupied Upper Box A area 302 row A seats 1-8. Fun, huh?
So, day of the concert. December 7th, 2007.
Plans of leaving work at exactly 6pm was thwarted since there was this user from London who needed attended to.
Ended up leaving the building at 6.15pm and traffic was hellish! It took us an hour and a half to get to the venue.. Yes... that long. We arrived at the Araneta Coliseum at around 7.45pm.
Sheryl was feeling like we were in the amazing race.. Wanting to beat the time because she wanted to watch the front act, a local band called Rivermaya.
We were able to see a few of Rivermaya's set while eating overpriced Wendy's takeout that we had for dinner.
Jamie Kennedy was also there. He was funny.
Then a LOT of waiting before Vertical Horizon came in.
They started playing at around 9.30pm and the show started around 10.45
Nice yeah?
I don't really remember the setlist but i'll probably edit this post once I do remember -- IF i do remember :P
Off to bed now...
holiday day 1 -- december 12th.
Curently watching CNN where they were talking about the film "Babel" (which I didn't get to watch -- loser me). This girl was talking in Japanese -- i used to know how to speak Japanese, but for some reason, my memory isn't as sharp as it used to be. errrr.. that was only a year ago since I last took lessons and nearly 6 years ago since I took this up as a foreign language in high school.
Chatting with Nina right now. Talking about... this band... and anything under the sun.
L, a close friend of mine, is currently on vacation too but she is getting her passport ready for our trip next year (sooo can't wait -- i really must get my funds set up for this cos my teammate told me its gonna probably cost me around 50k if i plan to go to all the countries i told you -- OMG...)
L, I also researched on how to get visas on those 3 countries we were talking about. Hella hard to get one, man!
I was also searching the net last night for some quotes and I came across these:
"Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal."
"Try and fail, but don't fail to try."
Very inspirational, huh?
On another note... I so want the Starbucks planner -- not that I need it (I already have a planner for 2008). But its just that I'm only 11 coffees away from getting the planner -- thanks to my meal allowance and also some colleagues who gave me their stickers =) So.. I just have to find the time (and the money) to drop by Starbucks and get myself my favourite drink -- Peppermint Mocha. I hate it that they only offer this drink every Christmas X-(
That's it for now. I'm off to watch some old tv reruns. =)
the days ahead before the year ends.
Anyway...
Today is the officially start of my 7-day holiday.
So what now?
I've actually planned to get a few IDs during this time -- Social Security, Drivers License -- that is, if i'm not too lazy to do it.
For those of you interested, this is what I plan to do the following days ahead...
Wednesday, December 12th -- I plan to catch up on some telly shows that I've missed
I've been thinking of getting a pampering day on Thursday, December 13th. I kinda need that.
Friday, December 14th -- I am going to a carnival with my friend in the evening, and in the morning, its shopping galore in Chinatown =)
Saturday, December 15th -- Office Christmas Party -- will do a dance cameo with colleagues.
Sunday, December 16th -- hibernate. hibernate. more hibernating.
Monday, December 17th -- this is the day when I'll really walk around and apply for those IDs I just mentioned above. I'll also probably do some driving around -- if i could have some extra cash for gasoline, that is.
Tuesday, December 18th -- er.. no plans yet.
Wednesday, December 19th -- back to work. I have a Christmas party at 730pm so I'll have to leave work early -- yay a reason for me not to go on overtime!
Thursday, Deccember 20th -- going to a carnival again (different from the one I've mentioned above) with another friend.
So, that's the start of my busy, busy week. yay yay.
Adventure, memories? Here I come.
On techie news..
I saw a college friend of mine a while ago randomly while I was strolling along a mall, on my way home. She's got an awesome phone! I don't know what model it is but now, I'm sooo wanting the phone of my dreams at the mo -- a Nokia 5700. Argh. Even though my old phone -- Sony Ericsson T630 -- is working perfectly at the mo (well, not exactly perfectly, its got its bugs and kicks but it still can receive text messages, calls, and can take photos albeit not very good ones) *sigh*
Also, I was reading here in blogger that I could link my youtube videos from there to here! Er.. will just try that out for a sec and will contine blogging after =)
